We are looking for a self motivated and professional childcare area manager to work in Bolton Lancashire! You should ideally be qualified to a high standard in management and ideally have a proven track record of sucessfully managing a large team. Your main duties will be - Drive the Nursery Managers in the professional development of their teams Mentor the Nursery Managers via annual appraisals and additional support meetings as required Advise in implementing disciplinary procedures as required in conjunction with the HR Department ensuring appropriate reporting and documentation Promote company culture, vision, targets and teamwork Assist in recruitment where necessary Coach the nursery management teams in acquiring relevant skills to develop the teams in current National requirements and company ethos To positively represent the charity in relation to all childcare aspects at National Events. Review the current facilities recommend and implement changes to ensure a standardised approach across the business. Ensure each venue adheres to all legal requirements including OFSTED. Liaise with Business Partners to ensure we provide a high standard of services at all the venues run on their behalf. Review communication strategies with the setting managers and the parents/carers and resolve parental grievances that are not satisfied by the manager. Conduct/monitor team meetings, appraisals, supervisions and performance management meetings. Ensure each setting works within the budget set by the Finance Department. Carry out regular audits to check safeguarding and welfare, learning and developmentrequirements of the EYFS and health and safety procedures. Ensure all managers have received appropriate training in paediatric first aid, safeguarding children, basic food hygiene and the EYFS. Ensure that setting occupancy is monitored and measures in place if occupancies start to fall. To attend regular meetings with the appropriate local authority and keep senior managers appraised of information received from these. To co-ordinate managers holidays across all the settings so there is acceptable cover at all times. Be involved in the setting up of any new provision or projects that arise in future bids/acquisitions to run other nurseries or clubs including recommending staffing levels and recruiting working with Directors to prepare and present to prospective business partners.
