Ages of children: 0 - 5 years Number of children: 120 A busy nursery in St Albans requires an assistant manager to support the manager and the team Main Duties include To ensure that the Nursery is run according to policies and procedures ensuring the health & safety and welfare of children at all times. Responsible for supporting the staff and liaising with the manager on all issues. Training staff and recognising the strengths and weaknesses of the team. Will have a sound knowledge of the EYFS and have experience in delivering and implementing this. Experienced in a senior or previous deputy role. To oversee the activity programmes to ensure all staff prepare and supervise suitable activities to create and develop a stimulating environment in which children are encouraged to socialise and develop to their full potential. To interview and select staff and ensure that each member of staff is given induction training and encouraged to attend further training as and when identified. To ensure that all staff implement policies and procedures at all times. Follow guidelines and procedures to ensure that the nursery is running to its full capacity effectively selling the Nursery service. Must have sound knowledge of EYFS as will be delivering this to staff.
