This fantastic purpose built nursery in the South West of London is currently looking for an outstanding nursery practitioner to take on their Deputy Manager position. Job Description & Responsibilities: The Deputy Manager is responsible for supporting the Nursery Manager in managing and leading the setting to ensure that high quality childcare is provided to all. This role profile is not exhaustive and the Deputy Manager is expected to fulfil any duty as required for the effective running of the setting. It is a very intimate setting with 40-50 children on role and only 10 staff. You will be expected to provide support at other sites whenever necessary. As a role model for the Early Years you must ensure that the EYFS is implemented and followed in every aspect of nursery life to an exemplary standard. You will be expected to pro-actively engage with the children in the setting, taking an active role in their care, learning and development while at the nursery and supporting staff in all aspects of their role. You will also be expected to be fully involved in the recruitment and retention of staff, as well as be able to effectively handle employment relations issues such as probation reviews and grievances. Further requirements of the role include: Full and relevant Early Years qualification. Full understanding and working knowledge of the Ofsted inspection framework. Leadership experience and managing staff issues. Good understanding of marketing and IT through email and Microsoft Office products. Paediatric first aid. First aid at work. Satisfactory DBS check.
