Ages of children: 0-5 years We are recruiting a Room Leader for a lovely, small nursery setting in Southall The successful candidate will be required to: - To work as an effective member of an early year’s team delivering a flexible, high quality, education and care centred service that meets the needs of the young children and their families. - To role model high quality practice as well as lead and support all staff within your room to ensure children receive the highest quality childcare and education. - Be fully involved in all activities associated with the early years and day care provision. - To work as part of a team in planning and implementing a range of activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage including organising and preparing all materials used for social training, physical development and educational experience, e.g. art and craft activities, sand and water play, cooking, musical activities, storytelling, dressing-up and role play, computer activities, large and small apparatus activities and other excursions. - To support the deputy and manager by ensuring your room meets all Early Years standards. - To contribute and support induction training and ongoing support of trainees at the centre. The successful candidate will have: - NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education - First Aid qualification - At least two years’ experience of working in an early years and day care setting with children in the 0-5 age range and their families. - Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of users, partners, providers, volunteers and staff.
