Ages of children: 0 - 5 years A well established and fun nursery in Northampton (NN2) require Part - Time Level 3 Nursery Nurses to join their busy team in providing a high standard of education and care for children aged 0 to 5 years. The main duties and responsibilities for this Part - Time Level 3 Nursery Nurse role are: - Adhering to the policies and procedures of the nursery - Ensuring that safeguarding guidelines are followed - Ensuring confidentiality is maintained within the nursery - Working as part of a team - Maintaining a strong knowledge of the EYFS and work within its frame work - To establish good relationships with key children and their parents - To ensure children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment - Maintaining and keeping up to date key children’s folders - Making good level of observational notes and reports as required - To care and supervise the children with regards to their physical, emotional and intellectual needs - Working with the Room Leader with regards to the planning, preparation of activities, to meet children’s individual needs, liaising with parents and ensuring effective communication within the nursery - To work in partnership with parents and other professionals / agencies as and when needed. - Offering all children equal opportunities - Observing children and understanding the processes of their development - Positive management of children’s behaviour. - Preparation, care, cleanliness and maintenance of the nursery rooms and equipment - Laundry duties - Attendance of staff meetings as arranged by the Nursery Manager - Attending associated training - Participating in parent’s evenings and open days - Any other duties appropriate to the position as directed by the Nursery Manager and Director Candidates must hold a level 3 qualification to be considered for this role.
