Any other benefits: additional performance bonuses Ages of children: 1 Years - 11 Years The suitable candidate will have: * Current experience of managing a nursery * Solid knowledge and experience of EYFS as well as a level 3 relevant qualifications or higher be committed to obtaining a higher level qualification. * A full DBS will be required. * Have experience of organizing the 2,3 & 4 year old’s government funding scheme. * Fulfil the minimum requirements for a manager as required by OFSTED The nursery manager is expected to hit the ground running by help setting up the room, develop policies/procedures and liase with OFSTED/Local Authority during the registration process (which is in progress) 45 hours per week (negotiable) with 28 days leave minimum (additional leave up to 30 days during school holidays). Exact salary will depend on experience and working hours (£18k to £22k plus additional performance bonuses). Planned nursery opening hours: 8am-6pm Some of the duties: * Work closely with parents/carers both face to face and through telephone and e-mail correspondence to ensure high levels of involvement and customer satisfaction at all times. * Be responsible for ensuring that the children in the nursery’s care receive an exceptional level of care and education * Keep up to date with policy and legislation changes, adapting nursery paperwork and protocols as necessary to meet any adaptations. * Be responsible for the overall direction of the nursery, for implementing action plans in order to achieve outstanding outcomes for children. * Have responsibility for all staff recruitment processes as well as supervision and appraisals of staff, students and volunteers. * Be the ‘face of the nursery’, greeting, advertising and selling the nursery to prospective parents. * Ensure the highest standard of safety and security within the nursery. * Have responsibility for all health and safety issues within the nursery, ensuring compliance with the Company’s Health and Safety Policy and procedures at all times. * Operate the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene in within the nursery. * Ensure that the planning and organisation of a quality educational provision is carried out to meet the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage and the Development Matters Curriculum. * Arrange and manage regular parent consultation events in order to involve parents and carers in children’s learning. * Ensure safe storage and appropriate access for all information, to guarantee compliance with data protection legislation. * Collect and maintain accurate statistical and personal records relating to staff, children and families at the nursery. * Be responsible for updating social media sites, to inform parents and stakeholders of nursery developments. * Attend and contributes to regular operational and strategy meetings with the nursery’s finance and ops manager and managing director. * Undertake any other duties within the scope of the post as required.
