The setting is 82 place an opens 52 weeks a year from 8am to 6pm. The successful candidates key responsibilities are Childcare and Education Be a reliable member of a team, working cooperatively and with flexibility. To ensure that children are kept safe and that staff understand and when necessary follow Child Protection Procedures. To ensure you maintain high levels of care in terms of ensuring the safety of the children in your care at all times To follow Safeguarding Policies at all times reporting in a timely manner any incidents regarding the children to the Nursery Manager To share an open dialogue with parents regarding their children Understand that each child is an individual and have a general understanding of childcare and child development. Observe each child’s progress and report on achievements looking for progression and continuity. Develop positive relationships with parents /guardians, other staff and outside agencies. Assist with the supervision of children at play (indoor and outdoor) and at mealtimes. Assist with planning a programme of activities, suitable for the age range of the children, following the guidelines for the implementation of ‘Early Learning Goals’ and the Early Years Foundation Stage. Assist with the creation of a stimulating and attractive classroom environment. Attend parent meetings, be involved in fundraising events and assist with the promotion of the nursery as required. The position is to start ASAP and the salary is up to 14.5k.
