We are thrilled to be helping them recruit for their core team who will be an integral part of opening up the nursery and its ongoing success. We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individuals, who are reliable, caring and have a genuine passion for working with children. Successful candidates must have a good working knowledge of the EYFS, able to plan and deliver a program of activities suitable to the age range of children in the setting and with a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection. You will provide a friendly, caring and relaxing environment in order to encourage and develop children. You will be responsible for implementing all relevant themes, topics and projects within relevant timescales, ensuring they meet Early Years Foundation Stage and OFSTED requirements, and oversees any required assessments. Your Nursery Nurse responsibilities include but are not limited to ensuring that individual records of all children’s educational developmental progress are kept, based on the day-to-day observations. Tracks groups of children in the allocated rooms, keeps the Room Manager up to date on children who are under and over achieving. You must demonstrate a sound knowledge of child development and uses this knowledge to support junior staff in every day practice, planning and interventions. Monitor all practices in ensuring the safeguarding of all children. Deals with and reports any suggestions of abuse or neglect, in conjunction with the Nursery Manager. Ensure that operational procedures and policies are fully understood and consistently followed. Oversees and monitors NVQ students and assessments You must be able to communicate effectively with parents and other visitors to the nursery, and assist the Nursery Manager and Room Leader with initiatives the directly impacts the base room or the Nursery The Nursery offer a competitive salary of up to £16,700, based on experience. On top of this all employees are offered a bonus scheme based on performance which can add an additional 5% or more to your earnings. There is also a holiday bonus offered for 100% attendance and can add an additional half day every 6months. Basic holiday entitlement is 20days.
