Ages of children: 3-18 mths Tinies Childcare is recruiting for a full-time Kitchen Assistant/Nursery Cook to work at its nursery in Finchley, located inside the David Lloyd Club. This is a full-time permanent role, of 30 hours per week, and the pay is between £6.50-£7.00 per hour Main duties include: * To implement and promote all Tinies Policies and staff rules. * To ensure the safety and welfare of the children at all times. * To carry out light physical duties required during housekeeping. * To be responsible for maintaining the highest level of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the nursery premise. This may involve: * Serving snacks, lunch and tea to all children, including those with special dietary requirements * Washing up dishes for the nursery * Keeping the kitchen tidy at all times * Keeping up to date with documents and kitchen standards of food hygiene * Ensuring the daily thorough cleaning of the nursery kitchen including equipment such as the microwave, dishwasher, fridge and kitchen cupboards etc. * Maintaining sufficient supplies of domestic consumables e.g. paper towels, toilet rolls, liquid soap, cleaning materials etc. * Record keeping * To re-heat food and follow guidelines of re-heating food standards * Replenish food stock, rotate food stock * Sterilise equipment in the kitchen * Help assist staff with cooking activities * Implement health food snacks * To work as part of a team and contribute positively to the staff team. * To cover any other reasonable responsibilities as appropriate, at the request of the Nursery manager or Senior Staff.
