JOB PURPOSE To be responsible for providing the highest levels of care for every child in the nursery. To work individually and part of a team to ensure that each child is treated as an individual and that their development needs are met on an ongoing basis. To ensure that the Nursery environment promotes and upholds equal opportunity policies through diverse activities and positive language. QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE The jobholder must hold a childcare (NNEB, NVQ, BTEC, CACHE or equivalent) qualification. The jobholder must have relevant recent experience of working within a day care environment. The jobholder must be up to date on childcare developments and have a good working knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and OFSTED regulations for Day Care provision. The jobholder will be required to pass OFSTED checks, including Police checks.
