This position is perfect for a Deputy Manager looking for career progression into Managing a nursery. Our client requires someone that is confident overseeing a large setting and comfortable learning the procedures that are in place. Once full training is given, the New Manager will be required to work on their own initiative to keep the setting running smoothly, hit deadlines and deal with any issues that may arise. THE NURSERY MANAGER'S DUTIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO: -Overseeing the planning completed by staff to ensure they are preparing and supervising suitable, age appropriate activities for children within their rooms. - Interviewing and selecting staff. - Ensuring each member of staff is given a full induction & training process - Book staff onto training courses. - Ensuring the nursery complies to health and safety regulations and to Ofsted, EYFS and Safeguarding guidelines. - Ensuring all staff follow guidelines and procedures to ensure efficient operation in line with Ofsted requirements - Being responsible for promoting the nursery to ensure it is full to capacity. - Managing staff in the nursery, including overseeing performance, conduct and absence issues and carrying out annual appraisals. Applicants must have a EYP, NNEB, BTEC, NVQ III (or equivalent) and Deputy Management experience as a Minimum.
