Silent Auction Terms and Conditions of Entry




1. In order to bid in the auction, bidder must be aged 18 or over.

2. Bidders may bid for more than one item.

3. Bidders must accept these Terms and conditions and provide their name, telephone number and email address to enable us to make contact. An 8 to 10 character password must also be provided to enable future entry to the bidding system.

4. You acknowledge that once you have received email confirmation that you are the highest bidder, you will be expected to pay for the item within the time frame provided in your winners email.

5. Under normal circumstances bids must be above the reserve value listed for each item and be in pounds sterling. The highest bidder will be notified by email shortly after the auction closing date.

6. We reserve the right to withdraw any item from the auction, at any time, subject to our absolute discretion.

7. You will be notified by email if your latest bid has been eclipsed, and you may bid multiple times.

8. Refunds will only be given under exceptional circumstances, such as when the goods are not in a useable condition, or when they do not comply with the advertised description.

9. Before your bid goes through you will be given the opportunity to backtrack. Once a bid has been sent it cannot be rescinded.

10. Your personal data will be held on a secure server, is the minimum amount needed to enact business, and is accessible only by those with approved authorisation.

11. The data will be used solely to enable operation of the Blanchelands College Silent Auction.

12. All data is checked for validity before it is stored.

13. Once the data is no longer required it will be deleted.

14. Your personal data will not be disseminated to other bodies.

15. The school will issue a bulletin at a future date specifying how the received funds were used, or will be put to use in the future.

16. Unless otherwise agreed items will not be released until cleared payment has been received.
