Ice cream has in recent years joined the ranks of other popular foods and is now consumed all the year round. This is in no small part due to the presence of freezers in most homes and the availability of relatively cheap ice cream from supermarkets. You might think that the human race would begin to suffer from over exposure to the stuff, but it seems we just cannot get enough of it. Ice cream manufacturers have not been slow to recognise this fact and there seems no limit to their ingenuity at devising ever more fabulously concoctions with which  to entice us.  This article reveals some little known facts about ice cream, and where to find some of

the best vendors in the UK.

"We all know that eating ice cream is one of life's pleasures - it's fun to eat and has positive memories of childhood, holidays, sunshine and good times,"

says Don Darling, Unilever's ice cream vice president of development in Europe.

"But this is the first time that we've been able to show that ice cream actually makes you  happy."
